Option 1 — delete from inside the app
If you still have Arthly installed, this is the quickest route:
- Open Arthly and go to Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. Your account and data are erased immediately.
Option 2 — request deletion here
Enter the email address on your Arthly account. We will send a confirmation link to that address — opening it permanently deletes the account. The link expires in 60 minutes.
What gets deleted
Confirming deletion permanently removes:
- Your profile — name, email address and phone number.
- Every expense, income record, transaction, budget, goal, debt and investment.
- Your payment accounts, including any bank, card and UPI details you saved.
- Imported bank alerts, emails and statement files, including uploaded attachments.
- Any linked Gmail connection, and all active sessions.
- Your activity history and push notification tokens.
If you are in a family group: deleting your account removes you from it. If you own the group, ownership passes to another member so their records are not lost. Any account you shared with the family is stripped of your personal details before it is either deleted or handed over to a member who still has transactions against it.
How long it takes
Deletion happens immediately when you confirm — there is no waiting period and no deactivation state. Routine encrypted backups are rotated out within 30 days. We keep nothing else, except where we are legally required to (for example, records we must retain to meet a legal or regulatory obligation).
This cannot be undone
There is no recovery once deletion is confirmed. If you want a copy of your data, export it first from Reports inside the app before deleting your account.
